For years, Tessitura Antonio Ghiringhelli has been a strong promoter of acetate yarn not only for its characteristic “silk” appearance, comfort, breathability and hypoallergenic properties, but also for being one of the few existing fibers with minimal impact on the environment.
Our suppliers have for years certified the sustainability of their yarn production cycle by guaranteeing:
The sustainability of the wood pulp supply
They ensure the traceability of raw materials and certify that their origin comes from controlled coniferous forests managed sustainably, and does not contribute to deforestation.
The use of chemicals agents that are safe for health and the environment
They supply yarns that do not contain dangerous substances, are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, and conform to the requirements of REACH and ZDHC.
A production process with low environmental impact
Acetate spinning is a dry spinning process, where the solvents used are recovered up to 98% in a closed production cycle.
